Cop Killer Jacket

$600.00

If you think this jacket looks like it was made by a 16-year old, you are correct—teenage Chains, full of anti-authoritarian angst, already.

Hating cops is kind of juvenile. It’s a profession, which employs people with behaviors and personalities as complex as any human. As a teenager, I was yet to understand my anger toward inequality and hierarchy.

This misdirected, hand painted, denim jacket features a scrappy reproduction of Body Count album artwork—that’s Ice-T’s metal hardcore band from the 90’s, in case you didn’t know. Sticking with the same theme, there’s a MDC patch on the front left chest. This MDC acronym iteration is for ‘Millions of Dead Cops’, illustrated by a half policeman/half ku klux klan member. The heavily distressed patch on the arm is for the band Crass.

The jacket is a generous men’s size small. It’s a Levis, pink garment dyed original, embellished by hand circa 1998. Well worn, well loved, and ready for a new life.

Shoulder to shoulder the length is 18”, the arm is 24”. This jacket comes laundered, and signed by the artist. Price includes shipping.
